The best managed hosting for indie SaaS
#6 this week, scoring 7.3 out of 10. Best for Teams that want PaaS convenience but need Kubernetes-level control and the ability to bring their own cloud account.
- Deployment simplicity 7
- Git-based deployment works well, but more configuration options mean more decisions to make during setup.
- Database & stateful services 8
- Comprehensive managed PostgreSQL with backups, replicas, and connection pooling, plus Redis and other datastores.
- Pricing predictability 6
- Multiple pricing models (managed vs. BYOC) and resource-based billing can make costs harder to predict.
- Performance & reliability 8
- Built on Kubernetes with strong reliability and performance, plus ability to choose your own cloud region.
- Developer experience 7
- Powerful dashboard with good observability tools, but complexity can be overwhelming for simple use cases.
- Portability & lock-in 8
- BYOC option means you own the infrastructure, and standard containers make migration straightforward.
